Thornbury Bread Crumb Review
CRISPY DRUMSTICKS
Serves 4 - 6
Ingredients:
3 lbs of chicken drumsticks
1/2 cup bread crumbs (I used Thornbury Chia Crumbs)
2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp chipotle spice
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp herbamare or salt
Instructions:
Add all the dry ingredients together in a wide container, big enough to move the drumstick around in. Mix them up until all the spices are evenly distributed.
Preheat the oven to 375 F
Rinse each drumstick in cold water, then dip it into the bread crumb mixture until evenly coated. Lay them on a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper.
When they are all done, and the oven is heated, put them in for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for another 20-30 minutes (depending on the size of the drum sticks).
Let cool slightly and serve!
Dish it up with 1 or more sides, such as broccoli, apple & walnut salad, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies!
If you are not sure if your drumsticks are done and you don't have a meat thermometer to check, look at the where the meat connects with the bone sticking out. If the meat is pulling away from the bone, this means it is done.
